Where do I start the practice test?
From the home screen, tap the hexagonal buttons for either the free sample test or the full tests—which require payment to unlock. Then choose the section you’d like to work to see a list of available practice tests.
Does the app support the redesigned SAT?
Yes, all the content in the app is written to the new SAT standards.
How many questions are included in the app?
At launch, our app includes between 8 and 10 full-length practice tests worth of questions—that’s more than double the amount of practice content available from the College Board themselves! We’ll also be releasing regular updates with new practice content. Tap the refresh button in the upper-right hand corner of the list of available tests to see updates.
How do I review questions to see what I got right and wrong?
From any question, tap the 'Review' button on the top right corner of the screen to see what questions you got right or wrong in list form. You can also swipe up, instead of down, to review questions one by one.
How do I see the solution to a question?
You must be in review mode (see above). Then tap the solution button to see a step-by-step solution that identifies the problem-solving strategies specific to that question.
Where do the school's SAT scores in the app come from?
Each school’s target SAT score is based on the median SAT score as reported by that school to the Department of Education. We’ve recalibrated the scores to reflect the fact that the “new SAT” is now using a 1600 scale instead of the prior 2400 scale. A median SAT score means that 50% of accepted students scored above that score, and 50% scored below. By striving for the median SAT score, you'll put yourself in the zone where most accepted students score.
Do I need an internet connection to use the app?
You can use the app without an Internet connection, but you’ll only be able to work through practice tests you have already started. To download additional tests when you get back to an Internet connection, tap the name of the test to download it and then exit the test to pause the timer. The content for that test will then be available for offline use.
Can I study online using my desktop?
No, we’re mobile-only.
Is there an Android version?
Not yet, but we’re working on it!
Who writes your college profiles?
The quotes you see are taken from reviews written by actual attendees. The editorial content, like our famous “Go here, don’t go here” statements, are written by our staff and based on research from multiple sources. All facts and figures are reported by the US Department of Education.
Can I change the information in my profile?
Yes, all the fields in your profile can be edited after they are filled. Just tap the field and enter your updated information.
Can I change the email associated with my account?
No, the email you use to create the account must remain associated with that account. We are working on changing this in a future version.
Additional comments or questions?
Although we can’t respond to user reviews in the App Store, we are always happy to hear directly from students. If you have any questions that weren’t addressed here, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
